How to Perfect Your Golf SwingJimmy Ballard
How to Perfect Your Golf Swing Using 'Connection' and the Seven Common Denominators. This is a great read - to say Jimmy Ballard is passionate and holds strong convictions is somewhat of an understatement. Not all of his peers agree with his sometimes outspoken teachings, but he appears unshakable in his beliefs. One thing is clear - he is a great communicator and is able to deliver a passionate, convincing argument either in person, video or in his book. That has got to be one of the reasons why he is recognised as one of the greatest golf teachers.
Jimmy believes there are seven common denominators that every great player exhibits. Interestingly, Jimmy never wrote another book - when asked why - he explains he got it right first time !
Some people believe his teachings are more geared for the accomplished golfer and he has helped many great golfers with their game. If you get hold of a copy of this rare treasure then you will have a piece of historic golfing literature beautifully illustrated by Jim McQueen. However, if you can't then you can still find excellent online resources with Jimmy Ballard explaining his teachings. He remains consistent and communicates with passion and conviction about the golf swing.
So what are the common denominators? A taster...
1. Is about creating connection at the address.
2. Taking the triangle and center away at the beginning of the swing together.
3. Coiling into the brace of the right (rear) leg.
4. Using the right foot and knee to reverse the club at the top of the swing
5. Releasing the entire right side and center and returning the triangle created by the arms and shoulders back to the position at address.
6. Maintain the triangle until waist high past the ball.
7. Finishing with weight on the left (front) leg and the knees, hips and shoulders finishing level.
